Please join us for the 2022 Morehouse Golf Classic DMV on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Country Club at Woodmore located at 12320 Pleasant Prospect, Micthellville, MD 20721! The Morehouse Golf Classic DMV is part of the signature fundraiser for Morehouse Alumni in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. This event has successfully generated scholarship funds for needy and deserving students enrolled at Morehouse College since 2011, raising over $200,000 and helping numerous students become Morehouse Men. Our funding has come primarily from individual Morehouse Alumni and fellow supporters. This would not have been possible without the generous support from people like you. Now we need your help to go over the $250,000 mark!
Our previous Honorary Chairmen include: Mac McCoy ‘65, Jim Moss ‘70, Dr. Fernando Daniels ‘80, William McCaskill ‘00 Esq, Dr. Reginald Robinson ‘90, and Javarro Edwards ‘92. Their generosity has been the pillar of our success.
Proceeds from the 2022 Morehouse Golf Classic DMV will benefit students demonstrating a financial need at Morehouse. This event is hosted by the Baltimore Morehouse Alumni Foundation (BMAF) and the Greater Washington DC Morehouse College Alumni Foundation (GWDCMCAF). Since 2011 the Morehouse Golf Classic has raised over $200,000 in scholarships funds. There have been 13 Morehouse Golf Classics (10 in the DMV and 3 in Atlanta)
We urge you to consider supporting our mission of developing men with disciplined minds who will lead lives in leadership roles and service to others by becoming a sponsor or registering to play.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action. Think you would be a good fit? Get in touch for more information!
Homecoming 1983 was the genesis of the Morehouse College Benefit Golf Tournament. The Washington Metro Area Alumni annually sponsors a "Midnight Train to Georgia." In the wee hours of the morning on October 26, 1983, on the return leg of the trip, two Morehouse men were discussing, among other topics, the dearth of scholarship funds for students.
We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference.
Your monthly contributions will enable us to meet our goal of establishing an endowment fund at Morehouse College by 2026.
